Oh! but to hear that little Squeaky voice one more time....

It was a beautiful day with a beautiful young lady, with lots of family laughs and joy.  But as the camera clicked and the sounds of xenon gas popped, I ached to hear one more time a little squeaky voice saying "Hi Uncle Mike"....

A couple of weekends ago I had the honor of doing my niece's high school senior photo shoot.  Yeah...an absolute honor.

It's easy to maybe measure your success as a photographer by how much money you can command for a photo shoot...or how many comments you get on an image share....or maybe of how many bookings you get during your "season".

But as we drove down to Las Cruces where my sister and her family lives, I was finding myself feeling blessed that I actually had a talent with which I could serve my family.  It was in that thought that I found myself taking stock...

It was exciting to see the creative plan develop around the dinner table at my sister's house...And believe it or not, it was a 10 hour photo shoot!...albeit with a generous Old Fart Nap nestled in the in between...and I'm not calling my sister an Old Fart...
